What is Hinge Ministries all about?
Welcome to Hinge Ministries. We are a movement that exists to unite the body of Christ to pray for Greenville. Our heart is to see the culture of this city shift through strategic prayer and intercession. We believe Greenville is ripe for an unprecedented move of God, and we believe that the vehicle for this revival is through united prayer and fasting centered around the person and work of Jesus Christ.

What Others are Saying
Knox H. White, Mayor of Greenville SC: See the official Proclamation from the Mayor declaring August 14, 2010 as “The Hinge – Day Of Prayer”!
“To see a flock of geese descend 10 feet behind the amphitheater as the event began was exciting. To hear the hearts of the many different voices in Worship and intercessory prayer gave honor to the diversity of God's creation was inspiring. To feel the blanket of peace that rested upon the event and see how smoothly everything transitioned for 5 hours was God. God even supplied mild weather and a gentle breeze throughout the day. I can't wait to see how God's kingdom continues to rise up in our city.” – Mark Caligaris, Director of Business Development for Prym Consumer USA
“What a joy divine to lead a community in prayer. That thought flooded my mind and heart as i stood at the mic before praying. Several hundred people, all ages, denominations and races, gathered to pray for Greenville city and county surely encouraged and strengthen every person present. May the hinge be an annual ‘solemn assembly’”. – Rev. George Moore, Associate Pastor First Presbyterian Church, Greenville
“The Hinge was a stirring spiritual experience for me! I was moved by the humility of those who led in prayer and of those who led in worship. I was so overwhelmed by the presence of the Lord at this gathering, I actually had to walk away and ask the Lord to increase my capacity to experience Him more fully. As we prayed and worshiped together, I believe God heard us and dispatch His angels from heaven with His answers for our city. Through the Hinge, I think the Lord gave us a taste of what heaven will be like. “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8” – Dr. Stephen G. Reel, Superintendent Southside Christian School, Greenville
“August 29th was a day to remember. All different tribes gathering together worshipping and crying out to Jesus, pleading with Him to show favor to our land, restore what is in captivity, and give justice to the innocent; there is such spiritual refreshment that comes from those times of unity and togetherness. This was a day that we cried out to the Lord to "give what is good" (Ps 85) to Greenville and also that we thanked Him for "giving what is good" to the Mizes because that afternoon we picked up our second Heart Baby, Hannah Isabelle, our God-given treasure that He poured down to us. At the Hinge, we noticed doves flying around and the Lord showed us Ps 85:10, "Loving-kindness and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other." The verse and the doves reminded us of His favor, His peace, and how He has kissed us with promise for a hope and future. That promise is a promise for our beautifully blended family and for our city. May the LORD "accomplish what concerns us" (Ps 138:8) bringing our family right in the middle of that heavenly kiss and rooting Greenville in His love and truth.” – Chris & Katie Mize, Parents in Greenville SC who on the same day as the Hinge Prayer Gathering went to pick up their second beautiful adopted baby, Hannah Isabelle.
